N.C. Nielsen's customers are increasingly demanding intelligent logistics solutions that provide real added value in daily material handling. The new Konecranes E-VER is designed with this in mind, as it has been developed through an energy-optimized process and builds on the experiences gained with other electric models in the Konecranes product portfolio.
The lifting capacity between 18–25 tons is an important step in the Konecranes E-VER series and a milestone on the path to electrifying the entire portfolio by the end of 2026. In this way, Konecranes is leading the way with environmentally responsible product development and the ability to deliver strong solutions in areas such as energy optimization, safety, ergonomics, driver comfort, and charging infrastructure.
"Konecranes has taken the next step in electrifying its product portfolio. The increased capacity of the flagship E-VER meets the demand from customers seeking emission-free operation, energy utilization, and an environmentally friendly manufacturing process. We are excited to introduce this forklift truck, which sets new standards in the category," says Claus Lilleholt from N.C. Nielsen.
With its lifting capacity ranging from 18 to 25 tons, the new Konecranes enables the handling of the heaviest and most challenging materials. Its robust construction, proven technology, and reliable driving characteristics make it an ideal choice for environmentally conscious companies that have chosen to go in a greener direction with their equipment fleet.
The individually customized Lithium-ION batteries are an efficient, safe, and long-lasting energy source for the machine. They help ensure high energy utilization, low energy loss, and the ability to recharge during the workday. The batteries are developed with a Battery Management System (BMS) that monitors battery health and maintains the correct temperature under all conditions.
"The Konecranes E-VER is designed to achieve high performance with low energy consumption. This is accomplished with carefully tuned technology, where Lithium-ION batteries, the electric drivetrain, and a built-in system for regenerating power provide optimal energy efficiency. We also offer a flexible charging infrastructure, where we can set up charging stations anywhere in the company," says Claus Lilleholt.
With fewer moving parts and a modular design on the Konecranes E-VER, it is possible to keep maintenance costs low. The batteries are maintenance-free, the motor generates virtually no heat, and vibrations during operation are minimal. This ensures high uptime, easy maintenance, and significantly lower service costs compared to diesel forklifts.
The cab in the new Konecranes E-VER forklifts is in a class of its own. It is called OPTIMA because everything essential for driver comfort has been optimized. The view from the elevated position is remarkable, the spaciousness has been increased, the instrumentation is ergonomically designed, and the cab is a high-tech masterpiece with joystick controls, touch screens, and easy adjustment.
The Konecranes E-VER comes standard with the advanced Truconnect software, which collects all necessary data to optimize operations. Here, you get a wealth of relevant information for ongoing monitoring, daily operation optimization, and reporting on topics such as energy consumption, uptime, idle time, maintenance, and safety.
