Press releases The idea behind the new Linde Warning Lines is quite simple: The physical distance to a running warehouse machine is important to safety when employees, guests and suppliers move around in the company’s critical zones. A red light signal next to the truck marks the correct and safe distance to the vehicle.

The bright LED light from Linde Warning Lines creates a safety zone around the truck that constantly moves in relation to the current position of the machine. The signal to nearby persons is clear: Keep your distance, and do not come too close to the machine. Obviously, the goal is to avoid running into persons and to maintain a high safety level in the working area.

 

The requirements for modern warehouse logistics are heavily increasing - thus, the risk of running into persons and other accidents increases similarly. Thus, Linde operates globally with a “zero-accident” philosophy where the ultimate goal is to reduce work-related accidents to zero.

- Linde found that most accidents occur in the immediate vicinity of the forklift truck. It therefore seemed obvious to consider how to actively keep pedestrians at a distance and to warn about the potential danger. The solution to the challenge was Linde Warning Lines that specifically mark a visual line around the truck, says Allan Christensen from N.C. Nielsen.
 

Safety is an important part of the Linde DNA, and Linde demonstrates this by continuously developing a number of safety and assist systems for the entire product range. Visual safety alone has a wide range of opportunities.

– Linde Warning Lines increase truck safety even more. They work very well on their own, and the light stripes can easily be combined with for example Linde BlueSpot or Linde TruckSpot that emits a visual warning triangle onto the floor. The LED light is active safety and a further boost of Linde's combined safety level, says Allan Christensen, Sales Manager, N.C. Nielsen.

Linde Warning Lines can be fitted in brand-new machines or can be retrofitted by N.C. Nielsen. Linde Warning Lines come in a red and a blue version, can be fitted along the sides or at the back and can be combined with Linde's other light and safety systems.
