CO-RO is among the first companies in Denmark to test the new electric Linde Xi 20 forklift truck. It has been tested by various operators over a busy workweek and is now under consideration for their fleet. With the expansion of facilities, the need for new machine types is likely to increase, making Linde a serious contender.
“We are undergoing an exciting development where we aim to streamline our internal logistics. We want fewer units that are more productive, flexible, and cost-effective. The electric Linde machines fit well into this mindset, and I expect Linde to positively contribute to our operational reliability. We have had good experiences with Linde in the past,” says Warehouse Manager Lars Heide Sørensen from CO-RO.
CO-RO is behind well-known consumer brands such as Sunquick, Suntop, Sun Lolly, and Sunjoy. The Frederikssund factory produces both concentrate (compound) and finished products. Together with local partners in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, more than 3.5 billion fruit-based drinks and ice products are delivered annually to over 80 countries. Everything is managed from the headquarters in the northern part of Zealand, Denmark, where administration, innovation and production are in full swing.
As part of the expansion, CO-RO is optimizing internal logistics. For example, production for the Danish market will be consolidated into one production hall, streamlining forklift traffic. CO-RO has rented a Linde E20 forklift and purchased two brand-new Linde reach trucks, which will handle pallets of concentrate (compound) from a new high-bay warehouse.
Strong relationships are key for CO-RO and their partners, including in internal logistics.
N.C. Nielsen has stepped in with Key Account Manager Morten Lyng, who has built extensive knowledge of CO-RO’s changing logistical needs over many years of collaboration.
“I’m pleased to see CO-RO recognizing the value of the Linde brand. It makes sense for them to streamline their fleet and increase efficiency with fewer machines in operation. This is an exciting process where N.C. Nielsen and Linde are introducing new ways of handling internal logistics, creating added value for CO-RO,” says Morten Lyng from N.C. Nielsen.
