Nielsen has therefore developed the NCN navigation assist system that works in close cooperation with a modular Linde VNA narrow aisle truck. Navigation can be linked to the company’s own WMS Warehouse Management System and continually adapted to meet its requirements.

Linde VNA narrow aisle trucks are setting the standard for advanced warehouse logistics in high bay warehouses all over the world. They have been developed with powerful driving and lifting motors, so they can lift and move at the same time. As a result, the truck will always find the fastest, safest and most energy-optimised driving route in the warehouse. The combination of advanced truck technology and intelligent navigation raises the bar and provides noticeable results.

Systematic progress

NCN navigation enables Linde VNA narrow aisle trucks to work in an extremely systematic way from order to order. The integrated middleware links the warehouse system directly with the Linde narrow aisle truck. The operator’s job is supported by the navigation always indicating the next order on the list, so the truck automatically moves to the next product position until the order list has been completed.

Extremely flexible

NCN navigation is extremely flexible, as it can function both independently and as a part of the company’s Windows-based WMS system. It finds the location on a specific rack in the warehouse via a database containing the barcode. The coordinates are sent to the narrow aisle truck, where the operator can activate the order with the joystick, so the truck is moved automatically to the desired location.
