The X20 – X35 forklift trucks achieve whole new performance levels for electric forklifts. They combine the dynamics, flexibility, and zero emissions of an electric forklift with the power and robustness of an IC truck.
The forklift trucks are availiable in 4 versions:
An innovative water-cooling system ensures that the power units installed on the twin-motor drive axle operate within an optimal temperature range. This ensures that the user has access to the rated output even under extreme conditions in multi-shift operation.
The powerful synchronous reluctance motors in the X20 – X35 series were newly developed from scratch. They are also fitted with permanent magnets, which increase the effectiveness and energy efficiency even further, making the trucks the most powerful electric forklifts available.
The outstanding feature of the Linde lithium-ion systems is the multi-stage safety concept, which allows the forklift trucks to be used in challenging environments with high mechanical loads and extreme temperature fluctuations. Other benefits include the significantly higher energy efficiency compared to lead-acid batteries and the higher availability of the trucks thanks to shorter charging cycles and the interim charging option.
In electrically powered fleets, Linde Load Balancing helps customers manage their local energy infrastructure. The aim is to avoid expensive power peaks (Peak Power Management) and statically as well as dynamically limit the available charging power. To achieve this, various charging strategies are developed and the customer selects the one that suits them.
"This is truly revolutionary technology in the truck market. It represents a major shift for both Linde and the industry as a whole. It’s about breaking down traditional categories and embracing new technological approaches that focus more on green transition, energy optimization, digitalization, productivity, and driver comfort rather than just the energy source itself."
The new synchronous reluctance motors with permanent extra magnets (SRM+) make the X20-X35 electric forklifts a true alternative to trucks with gas or diesel engines.
High mechanical load, dust, dirt, and extreme temperature fluctuations pose no obstacle for the X20-X35 models.
After use, the modern lithium-ion batteries can be recycled and repurposed as static accumulators.
Operator safety and visibility have been further optimized as an integral part of the truck's design.
Thanks to long-range wireless connectivity, the trucks can be integrated into fleet management systems and digital processes.
With easy access to key components and quick replacement of primary units, the trucks benefit from high availability.

Operators of the X models experience an entirely new level of performance as soon as they step on the pedal, with acceleration previously only possible in an IC truck. Nevertheless, this forklift moves quietly with zero emissions. The quiet dynamics combined with powerful performance and various ergonomic enhancements provide an unprecedented driving experience.
The spacious and bright driver’s cabin offers operators exceptional space and comfort, allowing them to work throughout their shift without fatigue. All key controls are within the operator’s reach, minimizing physical strain.
The slim mast design, narrow A-pillars, and low front plate provide the operator with an optimal view of the load and the surroundings from a comfortable seat.
The armrest is available in multiple configurations with optional extra features, allowing the operator to sit comfortably while keeping all truck functions within reach. Several controls, such as Linde Load Control, are integrated into the armrest, ensuring minimal physical effort for the operator.
A wide range of seat options provides added comfort and active protection for the operator, including features like air suspension, lumbar support, heated seats, and active seat ventilation.
A standard 3.5-inch display provides the operator with a quick overview of all primary functions such as battery level, warning lights, and operating hours. A 7-inch screen is available as an option, displaying Linde Safety Pilot information or images from camera systems.
For outdoor handling tasks, a driver’s cabin with effective heating or air conditioning systems is essential for operator comfort and productivity. The X20–X35 and X35–X50 electric forklifts are available with a modular driver’s cabin (optional) equipped with an eight-nozzle ventilation system (three for the operator, two at the base of the cabin, and three for windscreen defogging), ensuring a comfortable work environment regardless of the external temperature.
*Contains Freon.
Comprehensive decoupling of the operator’s workstation from the drive unit, steering axle, and mast significantly reduces shocks and vibrations transmitted to the operator when driving on uneven surfaces. This minimizes physical strain and promotes stress-free operation. An elastomer ball bearing also decouples the frame and chassis from the drive axle, providing optimal protection for the operator on rough terrain.
The mast ends are electronically cushioned to prevent shocks and vibrations from being transferred to the operator, thereby also reducing wear on the mast components.
Thanks to their comprehensive sensor system and data transmission, the new X20 – X35 electric forklift trucks come fully equipped for use in networked systems and can be integrated directly into the customer’s IT infrastructure, as well as into superordinate fleet management systems like Linde connect, and any digital processes. A series of sensors collect vehicle data for predictive usage planning, servicing, and remote diagnosis. Data is transmitted securely via a wireless connection, which also allows updates and new functions to be safely downloaded. These possibilities increase the availability of the trucks. Using the data about the charge level and capacities of the charging infrastructure, customers can optimize the use of the forklifts in the planning stage.
Connectivity is provided by the in-built data transmission unit, which is connected to the vehicle controller via CAN Bus and transmits vehicle data to the internal server or the Cloud via WiFi, Bluetooth, or 4G. This guarantees the highest standards of data protection. Connecting the trucks to software systems helps operators – with the aid of key figures, reports, and dashboards – to use their trucks more efficiently, to increase their availability, optimize service planning, prevent repairs, and improve safety.
